Chemistry becomes “magical” and green
On 8, 9, and 10 May 2026, Sassuolo’s Parco Ducale hosted the Temple Theater Green Festival: three days of activities, performances, talks, and workshops dedicated to sustainability and the relationship between people and nature. Smaltochimica supported the 2026 edition as a sponsor and took part with a workshop designed for children.
On 9 May, at the Smaltochimica stand in the children’s area, the “Eco-Sapone Magico” activity took place. Created together with Piccole Abitudini, the workshop was aimed at children aged 3 to 12. Guided by their accompanying adults, the children created their own ecological hand cleanser, discovering chemistry through a colourful experiment and immediately testing the result. A concrete way to introduce younger generations to environmental care and sustainable habits, in line with the festival’s mission.
Smaltochimica’s participation in the Green Festival is part of a journey that, for almost fifty years, has brought together chemistry for ceramics, research, and a strong focus on sustainability. Taking part in an event so closely connected to the local area and open to the community was an opportunity to share these values beyond the laboratory, through a fun experience designed for the next generation.
