Smaltochimica supports the artwork in Piazza Ciro Menotti that invites people to care for the planet and the community.
This year, Piazza Ciro Menotti in Fiorano Modenese hosts “Il mondo è nelle tue mani”, the installation by Lorenzo Lunati supported by Smaltochimica.
The artwork depicts two giant hands holding a large illuminated globe, transformed into a Christmas ornament. It is an immediate, striking image, designed to engage with public space and with the people who pass through the square during the holiday season. Its meaning is clear: the future of the planet and of our communities is a shared responsibility, shaped also by everyday actions.
Lunati returns to Fiorano with an installation conceived specifically for the city, developed in collaboration with the Fiorano in Festa Committee and with the patronage of the Municipality. The work becomes a meeting point, a place to experience and photograph, and an integral part of the wider Christmas setup in the historic town center.
Smaltochimica chose to support “Il mondo è nelle tue mani” because it recognizes its symbolic value and its message of responsibility. At a time of year that invites reflection and pause, the installation draws attention to the importance of caring for what surrounds us: the environment, relationships, and the local area.
The installation can be visited in Piazza Ciro Menotti throughout the Christmas season and helps make the center of Fiorano a place of sharing, participation, and dialogue.
